节目是一档舞台生存实验综艺，26组不同圈层、面貌、阶段的舞台歌手同台竞技，选择不同的生存模式完成多场试炼任务，角逐出最后的舞台冠军。。故事发生在一个幽静美丽景色宜人的私人社区之中，尼克（弗兰克·格里罗 Frank Grillo 饰）带着妻子萨拉（马利索·妮可 Marisol Nichols 饰）和两个孩子从繁华大都市洛杉矶移居至此，成为了小镇的新警长，尼克和萨拉都希望平静安逸的小镇生活能够治愈过往在他们心灵上所造成的创伤，然而，这样单纯美好的愿望真的能够成真吗？ 身为警长的孩子，查理（特拉维斯·考德威尔 Travis Caldwell 饰）和丹娜（麦克利·米勒 McKaley Miller 饰）所要面对的麻烦一点都不比他们的父母来得小，新的环境，新的学校，新的关系圈，两个孩子能够顺利适应这里的环境吗？随着时间的推移，尼克渐渐发现，小镇的平静只是假象，有一些非常邪恶而可怕的东西，似乎正潜伏在暗夜之中。。Edwin Antony (Hywel Bennett) is emasculated in an accident which kills a young philanderer.
