动画根据英国美食记者迈克尔·布斯（Michael Booth）所著《不止寿司——日本人所理解的厨艺之道》（Sushi and Beyond:What the Japanese Know About Cooking）改编，講述在日本逗留了100天的一家英國人從北海道吃到沖繩的美食遊記。。本片讲述了一位大学舞蹈系学生陈默，因舞蹈比赛时自己的成绩被人冒名顶替，从此对这个社会产生恨意，变得颓废无所事事，整天泡在网吧打游戏，舞蹈梦被深深的埋藏到了心底，从此甘愿做一个平庸的人，之后经过朋友的开导及自己醒悟后重拾梦想，获得成功，并感染到身边的很多朋友，让大家都一改自暴自弃的态度，重拾起了各自的梦想。。Three thieves who have just stolen a priceless painting and arrive at a secluded safe house by the sea, only to discover their fourth accomplice is missing.
